Doña Julia Golf Club

Doña Julia Golf, one of the best golf courses on the Costa del Sol, is situated in the Municipality of Casares, although part of its perimeter is adjacent to Manilva, a few metres from the sea and the mountains, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the range of mountains of Sierra Bermeja and Ronda.

Doña Julia Golf is situated at just 100m from the A-7, km.146. There is an exit leading to our installations, this exit is at the foot of the A-7 heading towards Manilva and Algeciras, at about 100m after the roundabout which leads to Casares town, a good reference for the exit of Dona Julia is “La Choza” Restaurant.

Doña Julia Golf is strategically situated at 45km distance to Marbella, 18km to Sotogrande, and 35 km to Gibraltar. The cities of Malaga, Jerez and Seville are 96km, 134km, and 221 km, respectively, all of them with Airports and Train links especially Malaga with the “AVE” high speeds train and a large network of highways.

Designer of Doña Julia Golf Club

Antonio Garrido

Spanish golfer born in Madrid on February 2, 1944, he is one of the Spanish forerunners of this sport and its first internationally recognized figure.

Garrido played in the European Tour from its creation in 1972 to 1995, winning the first official edition in the history of the European Tour, then came 4 more victories of the circuit. His best year was 1977, when he finished third in the order of merit. In 1977 he won the golf world championship by partnering with the young and future star Severiano Ballesteros. Two years later, he and Ballesteros became the first two non-British players to represent Europe in the Ryder Cup.

Starting in 1994, Garrido began playing on the senior circuit and has won two titles.
